This section documents Mzizi’s components: the registry and design system that
support the language, served through
api.mzizi.dev and browsable at
mzizi.dev/components. It is not documentation for the
language itself; the ecosystem page draws the line. Rust components
(Mzizi Roots) lead. The React and TypeScript code on these pages is
the React build: it keeps working, but it is deprioritised and not where new work goes. How blocks work
Blocks are composed entirely from registry components, following the application layers — domain composites built from shared primitives. The registry publishes 105 items of typeregistry:block, so many blocks are directly
installable. The pages in this section document the composition patterns behind the common
ones, which is what you need when you are building a variant rather than taking the default.

Building with a block
- Install the components the block needs from the registry.
- Follow the composition pattern.
- Replace the content and data with your own.
- The block inherits your token layer automatically — it references semantic tokens, not values.
